Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope everyone has had a fantastic start to their week, and has taken advantage of this gorgeous weather. Yesterday was a fantastic Monday. I got caught up with photo shoots for the blog, got ice cream with a dear friend, and had dinner made for me by another close friend. How lucky am I?! (And it was delicious I might add!).
Today's post is all about turning a day look into night with just the change of your shoes. Many women think that dresses are strictly for a dressier occasion, however, they can be appropriate for anything. I love dresses for the simple fact of ease. You can throw a dress and a jacket on and you're good to go. With this look I went for an edgier vibe. The more you keep up with my blog and I, you'll notice this is the look I gravitate towards. I had so much fun with this look and I hope you all love it as much as I do!
Dress: Allison Joy
Jacket: Blank NYC
Belt: Necessary Clothing
Sneakers: Nike Air Force One's
For the day portion of this look, I went with black sneakers. The contrast of the ruched, tight dress and the sneakers create a put together look, with an edgy and casual vibe.
To quickly change the look from fun and casual, to chic and dressy, I switched out the sneakers for heels.
I have recently been gushing over this beauty! It's Blank NYC, and it is still available at Evereve. Floral print is huge right now; and when you add studs, you'll pull me right in.
In honor of game day, I wanted to share this look. If you all haven't noticed, I treat the world as my runway. Whether it's going to work, out for dinner, or to my boyfriend's basketball games, I love to look and feel my best. I love repping my boyfriend and the team. With this look I wanted to do something different, so I styled it around Dominique's letterman! I absolutely am obsessed with the look of a letterman, and repping him while wearing it isn't so bad either! I have way too much fun putting outfits together, and that doesn't change no matter the occasion. I want my followers to some point feel this way as well. I understand fashion isn't everyones nitch. Nevertheless, it shouldn't be something you dread. Every morning when you wake up you have to out on clothes; so why not make it enjoyable?

Velvet is everything this season! Get out there and don't be afraid to experiment with new trends.
This look that I styled isn't anything special, however I wanted to share it because I like to stress to my followers how easy it is to put a trendy outfit together. Many people get stressed out or are intimidated when it comes to styling an outfit. As a stylist, so many women tell me they have no clue where to even begin, and they sincerely want my help. Therefore, this post is all about the simple to-do's when you look at your closet in the morning and ask yourself what you're wearing.

Personally, the first step I take when putting together a look, of course, is getting a grasp on what I'll be doing that day. Do I want to wear my comfortable jeans, or can I wear my super tight high wasted skinnies? Yes looking fabulous is important, but feeling fabulous rightfully takes the #1 spot.
Next, after I pick out jeans, I then go on to the top half. It really depends on what look I'm going for, however a cute tee and a jacket is a major go-to for me.
This top is a simple Adidas tee, and this jacket is one of my faves that I purchased at the store I work at, Evereve. (We still have these and they're now on sale). Never be afraid to dress up a tee.
Next, I go onto shoes and accessories. As you all read in my last post, to me, details are everything. So have fun with your accessories. Adding cute booties, a leopard clutch, sunnies, and hoops really does pull this look together.
These jeans are the perfect high wasted black skinny! I got them at Express a few months back for a super low price. I am the first person to say quality over quantity when it comes to jeans, however Express has great jeans for great prices.
