This past weekend I was in Nashville for the SEC tournament to support Dominique and the rest of the team, and it was an absolute blast! I left Lexington last Thursday and stayed with a girlfriend in Bowling Green, then headed to Nashville for the first game of the tournament Friday morning. It was a weekend filled with road tripping but it was more than worth it. The first game we played Georgia. We won, so Dominique's family and I celebrated by going to Dave and Buster's! That night my friend Leslie and I stayed at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel; which I highly recommend! We spent the night in our robes and having a little girls night because we were way too tired to try and go out on the town! The second game we played Alabama, and in the championship we played Arkansas. Dominique played amazing throughout the whole weekend so it was especially fun being able to be at every game. Little weekend get away's are my absolute favorite. Hanging out with Dominique's family and my girlfriend Leslie the whole tournament was the perfect way to spend the weekend. This weekend was definitely one for the books; UK is the SEC Champs for the 3rd year in a row, Dominique made a new career high in the championship game, received player of the game, and last but not least, made the SEC All-tournament team. WHAT?! I cannot explain how proud I am and the excitement I have for this weekend in Indianapolis. Game 1: UK vs Georgia Jacket: Peyton Jenson Jeans: 7 For All Mankind Shoes: Shoe Dazzle I was so excited to be able to pull this beauties out! Since basketball season is primarily during the winter, I haven't been able to rock these yet! I was happy mother nature was in my favor on Friday for the first game of the tournament. Game 2: UK vs Alabama Championship Game: UK vs Arkansas Denise and I, aka Dominique's biggest fans! ;)

If any of you ladies are looking for a hair stylist look no further! Julie Eades is an amazing hair stylist in Richmond, Kentucky at Salon 116. She cut, colored, and treated my hair, and my hair hasn't felt this soft in years! She's great at coloring, however she genuinely cares about the health of her client's hair. I have been wanting an ashier look to my hair, and she got me on the right track. I have an exciting weekend/week coming up with the SEC tournament, and afterwards I'm heading to New York City. So I'm thrilled to show of my new do. You can reach Julie through her instagram account, @hair.by.jewels, I highly recommend her! Julie did an all over balayage, shadow root, and toned my blonde, trimmed my length, and added texture with some long layers. I am absolutely in love with how it turned out and I can't wait for my next appointment!
I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and took full advantage of the sunshine! I'm not sure about you guys, but I am more than ready for the cold to permanently leave the bluegrass, and for the sunshine to stay a while. I am ALL about fuzzy sweaters, coats, and layers, however I will be all smiles when I'm able to bring out my summer wardrobe. I'm excited the warm weather is approaching, nevertheless I think we can all agree that the transition stage from winter to spring is awkward; especially in Kentucky. I have learned to have absolutely no shame in wearing jeans, boots, a sweater, and a coat one day, and wearing a dress, and open toed heels the next. When you live in Kentucky it's no surprise that Monday is 40 degrees, and Tuesday gets up to 70. There's no set season change in this state by any means, so wear what you feel comfortable in. This look that I styled is a great example of a transition outfit. The light denim gives it a spring look, but the suede jacket and heels, gives the outfit a warmer tone and feel.
