I am finally back to blogging after a crazily busy three months. Between being in school full time, working as a stylist at Evereve, and traveling, unfortunately, I have had absolutely no time to sit down, and catch you all up on all things fashion and travel! But the semester has finally come to an end, and I am especially excited to share my past, current, and future travels and fashion posts. So much has happened the past three months and I promise I will fill you in! But for now, what better way to start off my return with a post about the holiday season? It's my favorite time of the year, and if you follow along with my Instagram, (emma_kayyy) you will soon figure that out. 'Tis the season for spending time with loved ones, the best music of the year, and giving. Christmas is here, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Christmas shopping is one of my favorite aspects of the season, and Lexington has developed at such a drastic rate, this year will be even more exciting! This past Saturday night, my cousin Mariah and I went to the Summit at Fritz Farm to knock some people off our gift list. I get a lot of questions about how to style layered looks, and keeping warm during these chilly months. So with that being said, it's all about adding staple pieces to your wardrobe that you can mix and match throughout the season. The Dylan "Sherpa Jacket" from Evereve is one of those pieces that you can style several different ways, and still be warm and cozy. One can never have to many jackets and coats. Throughout the colder months, layering is key, and a jacket or coat can make or break an outfit. Adding a staple pair of denim to your closet will also be a big help! I don't know about you, however for me, finding jeans was a huge pain until I found a designer that fit my style and body type. I discovered that AG's fit my body the best, and that's just about all I purchase. You can purchase this designer at Evereve here in Lexington! This sweater seems so simple, but it has been my favorite purchase this season! It's soft, cozy, and long enough to wear with leggings too. You can get this piece at Evereve as well! Lastly, these grey suede booties are my go to shoe during the winter. They are simple and understated, which I love. Staples are your best friend, especially if you're like me and need to keep your shopping addiction to a minimum. I purchased these a year ago from Lola Shoetique. If you haven't searched this site, I promise you won't regret it. They have such a wide range of shoes, at phenomenal prices. You can purchase this whole look at Evereve in Lexington, or online at www.evereve.com!
Happy holidays, and happy shopping!
